Gon sat alone, legs dangling off the edge of a branch. It's...all gone. A tear rolled down his cheek, yet his face didn't show a single emotion. Everything he had ever known, had been ripped out from under him. Gon had shattered, and he was still trying to regather all the pieces. But they were scattered, and he couldn't find them all. Those were lost, and he'd never get them back again. Isn't it lovely, all alone. Heart made of glass a mind of stone. He didn't remember where he'd heard those words before, but they felt true. His mind was numb. His heart was shattered and pieced back together as best as he could but it was hollow, empty. What do I do now? He didn't know, his mind couldn't supply an answer. So he lay down on a comfortable tangle of branches, and closed his eyes. Hoping that just maybe, it was all a horrible, horrible, dream.

Killua had enough of Gon. He had enough of how the boy easily broke him, he had enough of cleaning after his messes and he had enough of everything. He had enough of Gon; so he cut the boy out of his life but what he found out that doing that was a huge mistake when he sees the boy again.

Gon meets up with his old group of friends after a year, they find out that soon he'd be moving in with his father. They start noticing small issues that progressively turned into complex injuries and mental problems. But Gon's brainwashed into believing the lies that his father cares for him. A cycle of abuse and degradation leaves him suffering.

AU Remember when Killua attempted to commit suicide by walking in front of a train, but Gon saved him? Well, in this AU, Gon doesn't save his best friend in time. Killua smiles at his best friend just before the train murders him. Gon and the remaining friends sit quietly during Killua's tearful funeral, not believing that they are actually witnessing their best friend's funeral before them.

Not long after Killua and Gon part ways, news of Gon's supposed death spreads around like a wildfire ablaze. An unspoken depression settles over the group of friends. With little contact towards one another, the three friends go their separate ways after Gon's funeral. It becomes abndantly clear to each of them that Gon was the backbone of the group, the glue, keeping ther paths together. ----- (Disclaimer)- There may be mentions of self harm, violence, and abuse.
