She pulled her lips away slowly, breath catching in the silence that followed.
A soft glow from the nearby lights kissed her face, her lips still glistening, trembling, painted with the faint memory of what just happened.
"I... I'm so sorry," she stammered, eyes wide, heart pounding against her ribs. "It just... happened in the moment."
She turned to leave, the air still thick with unspoken words, but before she could take a step, his hand found hers gentle, steady, asking her to stay.
His fingers brushed against her wrist, sending a quiet shiver through her.
"Aaradhya," he murmured, his voice a whisper that melted into the space between them. He turned her softly toward him, his eyes holding hers like a promise.
"There's no turning back now," he said, his tone low, calm, yet filled with something deep something certain.
"You just claimed me as yours."
Her breath hitched. The world seemed to fade, leaving only the sound of their hearts gwild, uneven, impossibly close.
He smiled faintly, eyes softening as his thumb brushed her cheek. "And now..." he whispered, leaning closer, his voice barely a breath, "it's my turn to claim you."
And before the moment could break, his lips met hers again tender, slow, and achingly gentle. The kind of kiss that didn't demand anything... just promised everything.
