So, I wrote this as a free write for English... was supposed to be a short story, but it ended up as a Chapter 1. Should I keep writing it?

WIP = Work In Progress In a world where magic, or in this case Majyc, is desirable, few who possess it use it for benevolent purposes. These Darc witches and wizards, however, are hidden from the view of common society, their acts of terrorism disguised by the government as natural failures. But one Darc witch is intent on breaking out of this hidden prison, and she has the power to do it. The only one capable of stopping her? Ali. But first, she must gain control over her ability to control the flow of Majyc, and learn to embrace what she had always feared... The dark. For there is no other way to defeat the Darc without smothering it in a deeper darkness. Or is there?
