★★★★★ "right up there with Hunger Games" I've reached my expiration date. Not that it matters. We're all going to die. To sixteen-year-old Micka, all words have flavours. Her emotions come with such force that she can't help but carve them into her skin. The night she decides to kill herself, she meets Runner -- a mysterious stranger who makes her question everything she's learned about the end of the world. His message is terrifying: It wasn't some mysterious disease that killed ten billion people. We did this. Humanity sleepwalked into climate disaster and ecocide, just to butcher and rape until blood stained the seas. Micka is sure Runner is lying. Her instincts urge her to stay far away from him. But he makes her an offer she finds hard to resist. There are only two rules she must follow: Kill. Survive. Because the final wars were never meant to end. ________________ Available books in the 1/2986 Series: Book 1: CUT Book 2: FOG Book 3: ICE Book 4: VOW Audio books narrated by Emma Galvin (Divergent Trilogy, Touched, A Shade of Vampire) are available at Audible.

A young woman must compete in a deadly televised competition, Grimm Games, to ensure her twin sister survives. Season 1 of Grimm Games ***** When twenty-year-old social activist Kam Wendall discovers her name among the contestants of the deadly television competition Grimm Games, she's stunned to realize her estranged twin sister, Millie, has stolen her identity to compete. Determined to save her sister, Kam enters the contest. At a secret and isolated location, they compete against others through nightmarish sets, perilous escape rooms, and sinister puzzles, and must outsmart the sadistic Grimm entities stalking them. Amidst the twisted challenges, can Kam and Millie rebuild their fractured trust all while evading the diabolical forces at play? And would even that be enough to help them survive the Grimm Games and emerge victorious? *** "Oh, I understand." I didn't blink as I spoke. "But the only way I'm ever stepping foot inside your set is if you force me." "Our contestants are volunteers," Ms. Holle went on. "We've always run the games that way and forever will. We're not accustomed to forcing anyone to partake, and that opportunity will be extended to you too."

From the time we are born there is always a clock. Wherever we go there is always a way to keep track of time. When we are born, the bright blue digital timer embedded in our right wrists is beautifully blank until we are ten years old. From that day on, our timer is counting down from 2555d 23h 59m 59s. Ten horrible numbers counting down until the day of our Meeting, the day when you and your ‘other half’ finally meet. They tell you when you are going to meet your true love, your Disney Prince, your soul mate. Some people are embarrassed by their time, so they hide their clock with bracelets and gloves and scarves, anything to keep them from looking. I don't want to look at my clock either.
