This is a Chyan AU, it follows the majority of the actual plot of the HSM series but something's are mixed around, this takes place somewhere between the first and second movies Ryan Evans is one of the only openly gay guys at East High, singling him out greatly in most things. But when the Wild Cats start to come together to put on a spring play for the school (thanks to Star basket ball player Troy Bolton and math genius Gabriella Montez's budding romance), Ryan finds himself opening up to his fellow Wild Cats, and in turn falling for a certain curly-haired basketball player.

"Chad Danforth and Ryan Evans, never in his life had Chad thought he'd be standing here, in the middle of the empty basketball court, crying into the chest of Ryan Evans, it felt as if everything was crashing down around him, as if he had everything ripped out of his arms and he was left, with his heart bleeding out in the middle of the court, ruining Ryan's shirt with his tears." After suffering a tragedy a lot changed for Chad Danforth, he and Taylor broke up, his family moved and everything felt different. Strange, until he started to see Ryan, really see him, noticing everything the other boy did, he felt everything shift with Ryan becoming the centre of his fixation. With the help of Zeke he will come through his silent sexual panic while building a friendship. All within a span of a few months Chad goes from just being friends with to dating Ryan, while trying to navigate finding who he is without Troy. Ryan on the other starts to realise that Sharpay puts him down to keep herself up, he starts to realise that he has more to offer than just being, "Sharpay's twin brother" and decides that maybe doing a show of his own, with Chad right by his side is something he wants to do. Something he will do. Together Ryan and Chad become stronger through realising their worth and what they have to offer, no longer allowing others to put them down.
