What if district 13 didn't get blown up? And what if there was a 14th district hidden from everyone? District 14 wasn't known to the public, it was kept hidden due to the lack of people. They were told that as soon as their population increased than they would be entered into the Hunger Games. Only they didn't know it would be this soon. Peacekeepers stormed the mediocre town of District 14 where they announced that only one person every year, between the ages of 12 to 18, was to be entered into the Hunger Games. When Marlowe Ordell hears the announcement she fears for the life of her 12 year old brother. There was a 1 in 400 chance that he gets called and he'd be all alone.
