The Q Word follows the intertwined lives of six Black and Afro-Latino queer friends in New York City who created their own chosen family after growing up together in foster care. As they navigate adulthood, the group balances love, ambition, identity, trauma and healing while working through the pressures of careers, marriage, mental health, sexuality, faith and friendship.
