Season 1 of The Moonlit Curse Kiya Bridges has spent her whole life learning to hunt the unnatural. She, alongside the five other members of the Monster Hunter Corps, are some of the most capable soldiers the Kingdom of Westmora has ever seen. But since no one has seen a monster in over five hundred years, it's hard to take the missions seriously. All it takes is one bite from a rogue werewolf to shatter Kiya's worldview and open a void of uncertainty beneath her feet. One bite, and she is forced to confront everything she thought she knew about the world. With no one else to rely on, the only person she can turn to is the local innkeeper, August. As a subservient alpha to the Silverkeep Pack, August never imagined he would be the only one willing to guide a new victim of the curse. In order to protect her from the rest of his pack, August must hide his true identity from Kiya, but he finds himself drawn to the beautiful hunter, and she finds herself trusting him more and more. As Kiya's transition progresses in ways they couldn't imagine, the shadow of the rogue looms in the distance. A threat to Kiya's future, and a ghost of August's past. Don't stand out. Don't speak up. Stay quiet. Be who they want you to be. In a dark future, the people are placed under mind control, lured by propaganda of the Imperium, their government. They are unable to think for themselves and constantly restricted. Astrid Hale has lived her whole life under the control of the Imperium and wants more than anything to be their most devoted citizen, willing to do anything to prove it. Callisto Adalwen finds herself as the only one who is completely her own person - a dangerous secret that could lead to her death if she fails to keep it. When their lives collide, they are forced to confront what they have been told and choose between their morals and their own safety. Two girls. Two realities. One story. "At some point, you have to stop running and turn around and face whoever wants you dead. The hard thing is finding the courage to do it."--Katniss Everdeen (Catching Fire, chapter 8)

Here we have two gaming characters that I personally love: Crash and Spyro. I've placed these two in the same world, yet separated them by time. I take some drastic liberties with the established canon of these two franchises, the more drastic changes are intentional to either enhance the plot of the story or to strengthen the character of the characters (pun intended). Crash is a creation of Dr. Cortex, but defects due to his love of the other test subject, Tawna. He meets one of the local tribeswomen, a young teenager named Coco. After four years (details omitted), Crash is accidentally stranded one hundred thousand years in the past and is befriended by a young Dragon named Spyro. Spyro is predestined for greatness, but the power of the Sorceress, the betrayal of Red the Elder Dragon from the Council of Elders, and the war monger Gnasty Gnork threaten to kill all the Dragons of the Dragon Realms. By accident or by fate, a friendship emerges from this unlikely duo, and although Spyro may or may not have needed Crash's help, his presence certainly changed his life.

The story of how Crash raised Spyro into adulthood, after trips back in time to collect Power Crystals has him save a stolen Dragon Egg. Despite better judgment, seeing Spyro hatch causes Crash to love him like the son he never could have with the lost love of his life. But when they learn of the tragedies caused to Spyro's home because he disappeared, Crash must let his... son go.
