the untold story of Sally and Wilbur

The world is dying and not a soul can save it, nor themselves. Patrick was a simple man going about his troubled life before the dead had risen. Now he has a chance to become something greater. Alongside his friends and allies, he must overcome powerful foes and survive this new world.

Kudryavka and Mushka, two Ukrainian-American immigrants and lifelong friends, have grey and boring lives... That is, until one of them discovers that she has psychic powers. When those powers draw unwanted attention, the girls will be forced to embark on a deadly road trip across the mountains and deserts of the western United States in order to be reunited and defeat the evil forces trying to keep them apart. Putting aside the generic back cover stuff, this is a story and concept I've been working on since I was in high school, and I finally decided, screw it, I'll start writing it. I'm uploading it here as I write since it's set to be the longest thing I've written so far, and I want some feedback in the meantime. I'm fairly proud of it. Chapters will come out as I write them, which all depends on when I have free time at work to write. All the titles are from pieces by Jenny Holzer. To-be-expected disclaimer, but there's gonna be some pretty harsh themes discussed. Characters will get hurt, kidnapped, tortured, and murdered at times. There's foul language, and some characters are ignorant or bigoted and might use language that reflects that, including slurs. I try not to sanitize, but I try not to revel in any of it.

What happens when the guy that's supposed to be the hero is rather reluctant about carrying that responsibility? Well, read and see for yourself.

17th century plague doctor, Emerald Blade, is very curious about learning about the Black Plague and wants to cure people. But in his own way he's dark and demented, the screams cause him to snap and hurt people, he doesn't mean to but he is very mind settled. Distraction and disturbance bug the doctor to no extent. He knew his own mind but didn't know the strength of his own hand. He was curious about life itself. Modern day psycho, Zane Blade is His reincarnation. Zane loves to watch people struggle and nobody believes Zane when he says he can hear the doctor whispering orders to him. Zane is a killer in his own way, but he is very smart.

Trinity must decide if she can trust a backwater scientist who thinks she can help her new friends, all while combating the effects of the virus that threatens to steal what's left of her humanity.
