After defeating Gaia Percy is being forced to become god, but instead he asks to be sent to the world where no divine can influence him. MAYA REYES didn't exactly think of herself as popular. I mean, she was nice, kind, and occasionally funny, but she didn't think of herself as popular. Considering the fact that her highlight of camp was Dionysus coming up to her in the middle of dinner one night and saying, "that one's mine," before walking off for more Diet Coke, her camp life wasn't that interesting compared to others. So, Maya gets used to the shadows. Climbing up onto the roof of the Big House during pegasus riding to sneak in a few naps, drawing stick figures into the dirt during capture the flag, and totally not staring at Percy Jackson whenever he comes to camp. But, when the prospect of war comes to the borders of camp and the Labyrinth reopens, Maya finds herself thrown out of the shadows and into the limelight of a quest with people she's only ever heard about in camp, including Percy. Drawing stick figures may be hard, but going on a quest is even harder, and Maya finds herself questioning her worth as the weight of the world rests on her shoulders. It will kill you if you keep on fighting to avenge things that have not even happened yet" Nico stared at his father, the rage that had been boiling underneath his skin every second since he had woken up back in November began to break through the surface. He took off his domino mask and tossed it onto the table, making sure that Bruce had to look at his eyes-- the ones that no longer resembled the fourteen year old that Bruce had once asked to join his family.
