A shinigami's life is so boring, even though you have the power to kill any human at any time, in reality, it can get boring. (Y/n) is a shinigami, the shinigami king's most trusted subject. (Y/n) has been alive for millions of years with her being one of the first shinigami to appear. Over some time, (Y/n) met with Ryuk as she reprimanded him for calling their shinigami ruler an "old man". Ever since then, they have met more frequently, and have gotten to know each other more. Soon, they became good friends. One day, (Y/n) went to met him, only to hear the disturbing news that he went to the human realm, and even purposely dropped his death note there, too! Though it's not his death note, the results can still be catastrophic. Deciding to go down to the human realm to make sure that Ryuk does nothing stupid seems to hold more head-achs than she first bargained for, especially when the shinigami king decided to put her there to make sure that the person using the death note does not go too far. People often say things happen due to fate or destiny, others say it's just coincidence, while some claim it's due to someone, or something, causing it to happen. Until recently, Y/N just lived their life peacefully, moving every so often due to their parents work. They tried not to get attached to anyone so they wouldn't end up hurt, or hurting someone else once they move again. After meeting certain people though, will they have to move so often? Would they even be able to? ~~~ Alrighty, hello there readers! Not sure why you're here, but if you enjoy this story, then you got bad taste, ngl. Sorry not sorry. Anyways, I'm not 100% sure where I'm going with this story but eh. The updates will be extremely random, hope you're all are okay with that. I'm mostly going to go around the main storyline with... slight changes? I just hope I don't make it anymore confusing than it already is. QUICK NOTE PLEASE READ L will be slightly aged down, I don't feel comfortable writing Y/N as an 18 year old and L as a 24-25 year old with romantic feelings for said 18 year old. L will instead be 20 since that would work out better for the story. Near will not be a love interest, he will be more of a younger brother figure, and Mello will have more of an admiration for Y/N, like a kid crushing on a celebrity sorta thing. I'm gonna try and make this sorta slowburny, but with my writing style, I'm sure that won't be an issue. I'm also gonna try to keep this as gender neutral as possible, so please let me know if I've accidentally used the wrong pronouns or something throughout the story!!
