The King Of Joseon was known for many things, but his possessiveness was known throughout the whole land. And it was not of woman he was possessive of, it was his people's trust and his crown. He was so possessive that he did not even allow foreign rulers or people to come into his land to trade goods, for he feared they would leave and never come back. So when the year of drought came, and the lands water and food sourced diminished the people began to loathe him. Without foreigners' help, the kingdom would fall. Now when he hears whispers of being overthrown he immediately gathers his advisors on what he should do next. They gave him a 'simple' answer: to marry a foreign girl who is the daughter of a king who rules a smaller kingdom, and then they could overtake the land by war.
