Je m'appelle Nancy, Nancy Sinclair et comme vous l'avez peut-être deviner, je suis une sang mêlé. Jamais je n'aurais imaginé que le destin m'entraînerait dans une quête périlleuse aux côtés d'un garçon insupportable nommé Percy Jackson. Encore moins que, contre toute attente, je finirais par tomber amoureuse de lui. Au fil de cette aventure, j'ai découvert bien plus que ce à quoi je m'attendais. J'ai découvert qui j'étais vraiment, ce dont j'étais capable. Mais cette quête m'a aussi conduite vers un dilemme dévastateur. Ce que je faisais était mauvais, et je le savais au plus profond de moi-même. Trahir une entité puissante signifiait renoncer à la dernière personne qui me restait, ma mère et cela signifiait trahir Luke, mon frère de cœur. Pourtant, rester fidèle à lui, c'était aussi trahir mes amis, la colonie, et pire encore, mon propre père, Hadès. Quoiqu'il arrive, choisir de quel côté j'étais allait avoir des conséquences lourdes. Je devais décider si je préférais la loyauté à ceux que j'aimais malgré tout, ou si je ferais le sacrifice de tout ce que j'avais construit pour ce qui me semblait juste. Peut importe mon choix, je savais que je ne pourrais jamais revenir en arrière.
