Dune cares about Aire's saftey so much, she'd fight every terrible creature in the lands of Sonaria. But after the war of the pero bloodline, and the death of Igiris, none of them knew of Igiris's even more dangerous vin'rou friend, Gher, who had escaped and is most likely plotting how to kill Aire and the peros himself. Dune leaves Aire in search of Gher. But just like an hourglass, the sand runs out, and so does the time Dune has left to end the war for good.

Eragon has landed in the far eastern side of Alagaesia, a place teeming with natural resources and animals but devoid of any interaction with a race. Located within a secret pocket in a never ending blizzard, Eragon chooses to begin anew and raise the new era of Riders there. Meanwhile Arya and Nasuada are at long last happy with the peace that has overcome Western Alagaesia. Under Nasuada's scrutiny, the empire has become a single whole, no longer the jumbled piece of land it was under Galbatorix. But whispers of a new threat are amassing within Alagaesia. Nobody truly knows what the threat is, they only wish for the Rider's protection. Eragon is forced to come out of hiding after two of the eggs hatched. The first, a midnight black male with eyes of fire, for the elf Yaela. The second, an emerald female, for the elf Draxin. But as a wise man once said, sometimes, you worry to much about the crack in the ceiling, rather than the entire mountain. Oh wait, that was just Orik. But, if the trio of legendary Riders don't act in time, Alagaesia could return to the ocean floor, never to be seen again.

Eragon has traveled to the East and found a place to hatch and raise the dragons. But that isn't the only thing he has found on his journey. A completely new race has been discovered and has been given the title Angels. (I've decided to insert my magic angels from Aeria into this story, but they aren't the same characters---I assure you. This is a whole new perspective on this species.) And if raising dragon hatchlings wasn't enough, a new threat is brewing in West Alagaesia. Will these new riders be able to tackle it or will the world be subjected to another tyrany once more? The journey has only just begun for them in Eragon ~*~ Glaciem.
