Sykkuno lived as a normal boy in LA, he was in college for statistics, studying hard, very intelligent indeed. His friends all described him as a kindhearted, calm person, who was fun to be around and could always cheer you up. But, as every story has, there is a twist. Because one day, the entire world changes. An apocalypse starts. Zombie-like people grow in power, ruling, any who weren't infected are killed. There are survivors who band together to fight these corrupt. That's when Sykkuno meets Corpse. He wears a mask to cover the bottom half of his face, an eye patch over one eye, talks to no one. Always keeping to himself. Something is different about Corpse, Sykkuno knows it, and he wants to find out what. Here, their story starts.

Sykkuno is 21 here, Corpse 23. I figured that'd be a good age gap/whatever. This takes place in college. Corpse is the mysterious guy in the back of the class who no one really knows. Sykkuno is someone who is loved by his friends, but not the popular kid whatsoever. Valkyrae is Sykkuno's best friend at uni, with DisguisedToast. These three people do lots of streams together along with their other friends but they aren't really popular. Corpse is really into music, but he has agoraphobia, chronical diseases and (social) anxiety. A lot of anxiety. He only goes to uni for a back-up plan: if his music career fails, he can still work somewhere atleast. Corpse is really insecure about three things. He is afraid of what people think of him, his sexuality and of his music. He thinks people whould hate his songs. No spoilers from now on, read the story for yourself :)

Corpse wanted to live a normal life, though after making what seemed to be a horrible decision of starting up a flower/coffee shop on a drunken, hazy night; he soon understands it to be the best decision he ever made. After his part-timer, Janus, gets sick and has to stay home, Corpse takes over her day shift and soon meets a large group of college students. In that group of people, he meets a boy that goes by Sykkuno. Their relationship little by little grows and blooms, which Corpse soon enough has to come to terms with his growing feelings. He wants to be near him but a distance strains him from ever coming close. "The love that remains." -- There will be no explicit content in this since I respect their relationship. I ship only their persona's they created and not them themselves. This story is created only for the soul purpose of improving my writing skills and experience. If they feel uncomfortable about fanfictions like this, I will personally take it down right away.

The only memories he has of ever being just a normal human being was in his younger years, when they were still alive.. at just the age of 8, both parents of Sykkuno were involved in a head-on car collision later to be proven fatal by the medical examiners which later announced the time of death.. not that it matters, they were still dead and his only happiness was now gone. Later on in life.. He had met Rae online, she was one of the nicest people on Earth but she was just too far for him to reach, she had better people to hang out with yet she still hung onto him, dragging him along like a lifeless object. Sykkuno was a ghost to everyone she had ever introduced to him, but he was desperate enough to stay for it even if no one knew him.
