Merlin offers to sacrifice himself in the place of his King. After being wounded, the Knights and his King rally round to support their best friend, their brother.

As Uther calls Arthur to speak with him privately, Arthur isn't sure what predicament had occurred between him and his father. Until he gets handed a crinkled letter. The kingdom of Aeyland had just collapsed at the hands of Morgana. The letter explains that several knights are on a quest to find their King and Queen. As Arthur embarks on this journey with several knights from both his kingdom and the fallen, Arthur realizes something extraordinary. The kingdom has a lost prince. Merlin is left in charge to care for his own kingdom, Aeyland. While in the midst in the course of events, Merlin's mind is a blank slate-all memories of Arthur now washed away. Things are going smoothly, until Merlin gets a sudden sense, rushing to a certain lake. There, Arthur rises. Merlin has no idea who the 'stranger' is, and why he was called upon his awakening. And Arthur realizes he'll have to start over with Merlin, hoping those drained memories will make an appearance once again. He just doesn't know if Merlin will ever be the same way again.
