The Nine-Tails' soul was sealed inside Kushina, while its chakra was sealed inside one of her newborn twins, Menma. As Minato and Kushina prepared to return home, Jiraiya arrived with an ancient prophecy. It foretold that a child born to the Princess of Red Hair and the Yellow Flash would inherit the power of a legendary being who once walked the Elemental Nations alongside the Sage of Six Paths. If that child was surrounded by darkness, they would bring about the end of the world. But if they were raised with love and protected by those closest to them, they would usher in an era of lasting peace. Because Menma possessed the Nine-Tails' chakra, Minato, Kushina, and Jiraiya became convinced that he was the Child of Prophecy. Determined to ensure the prophecy's peaceful outcome, they devoted nearly all of their time, love, and attention to Menma, never realizing they had mistaken the true child of prophecy. After yet another defeat in the League, Ash breaks down mentally. He felt this was the year he would win - even with the strong team of his - he managed to scupper on the final hurdle. However, his friends have been successful, Clemont getting recognised for his inventions and getting offered a role as Professor Sycamore's assistant and Serena becoming Kalos queen and famous worldwide and young Bonnie being tipped to be Lumious City gym leader. These roles for his companions have made them busy with their lives, while Ash dwells on yet another defeat - he thinks he is a forgotten man and disappears without any one knowing...
