Following the events of the parade at Equestria Land/World, Rainbow Dash begins to struggle containing her feelings for a certain shy friend of hers, more so than she has beforehand. Fluttershy is becoming suspicious of her friend Rarity, as her and Applejack have been sharing a lot of tension amongst themselves. Sunset Shimmer discovers something surprising about Rainbow Dash as she is also caught in a passive love triangle. Meanwhile, Timber Spruce is becoming suspicious as Camp Everfree is over washed by an evil presence of equestrian magic that only the seven friends can stop. Prepare to embark on a journey with the seven friends as they save Camp Everfree once more and discover new things about each other and even themselves. (106,200 words, 24 Chapters.) Sunset Shimmer became a huge fan of detective fictions thanks to Twilight who got her into reading them. One day, Pinkie Pie invited Sunset to go for a costume party held by her in Manehattan to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Carousel Boutique. Sunset have decided to dress up as a detective. She even convinced Twilight to dress up as an investigator. While they are having lunch at a restaurant in Manehattan, two police officers approach Sunset and Twilight and called them to investigate on a crime scene at a nearby hotel. The two girls got so confused. Did the police officers just asked them to go investigate on an actual crime scene or is this one of Rainbow Dash's pranks?

Sunset Shimmer us setting up for a friendship dinner with Princess Twilight with the help from their world's Twilight(Sci-Twi). Twilight noticed that there's and extra seat. She asked Sunset who's it for and Sunset said it's for one of Twilight's friend. Sunset explained to Twilight that the purpose of this dinner is to tell Princess Twilight all about Twilight's friendship report. Sunset gave Twilight a task to look for a new friend. Twilight did look for a new friend. They are all excited to welcome a new wondercolt to their school. Sunset and Pinkie Pie are the ones who decide to greet the new student. Upon meeting the student, whose name is Twilight Sparkle, Sunset realizes she has developed a crush on her. But being a vampire means that she could pose a danger to Twilight. She struggles to keep her vampiric nature a secret. But when an old enemy from Starlight's past comes into town, she realizes they are in danger. She and Starlight must keep their much stronger, much older enemy out of town. If they don't they could risk revealing their secret to all of Canterlot, if not all of Equestria.
