Taking his fathers words to heart, John Doe returns to Wellston with the intention of expelling himself from the hierarchy; attempting to turn over a new leaf with the ones he fought with for weeks. A short time after John's return, Isen comes to him battered and bruised from a late night battle pleading for assistance as both Seraphina and Arlo are nowhere to be found. With Blyke and Remi's well beings on the line, John has to make a decision to either become the man his wishes to be, or to remain the cold king he was before. How will this unforeseen event build and destroy bridges that were once thought to be unbreakable, and those that were thought to be permanently broken. (All Events take place as John is returning to Wellston and he begins to realize that Seraphina is hiding things from him, however, John has not made any attempt yet to join the Safe House and the clubs trip is still in the planning phase.) (All credit for Unordinary and its characters goes directly to its creator Uru-chan, this is merely a fanfiction based on the stories plot line.)

(Discontinued/ On hiatus with no guarantee of another chapter) John had always denied that the number on his arm was showing her because her soulmark couldn't show his, right? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Everyone is born with a number on their body - at the time 1.0. It varied where it was on one's body, but there were always a few consistent features for each person: it had their soulmate's ability level, eye colour and it would glow anytime they activated their ability, like their eyes would. At that very moment, Seraphina had pulled back the sleeve on her left forearm as she stared out in horror at the scene unfolding before her. The 7.5 showed on her forearm near her wrist with a burnt orange-gold glow.

After the torture he was subjected to in the Readjustment Classes, John wasn't sure how he could bear to live with himself anymore, not after everything he did as the Tyrant of New Bostin. He wasn't a good person. He was nothing but the hollow husk of a monster, something that should be left to fade away into the darkness-alone, forgotten. But within that pit he was content with laying in, to let any shred of hope he could have wilt and die, a light pierced through the depths. Unordinary, a book his dad wrote for him, and John finds it in himself to believe...maybe he can be a good person after all. Or: William's message truly gets through to John, he learns to help others with his power, and changes ripple throughout John's life and the hierarchy that almost destroyed him because of it.

In a world where Hierarchy reigns supreme and dictates the lives of all those unfortunate souls who are controlled by the system, Unordinary -a controversial book- causes a rise in opposition. Self proclaimed superheroes begin to fight for the weak and support their rights, going against the mold of what the Hierarchy wants its High Tiers to be. Not too long later, shadow organization EMBER begins to hunt down and slay superheroes one by one, with no one to stop them as the Authorities grow complacent. Or is there? John Doe, son of the infamous William H. Doe arrived at Wellston after a traumatic experience in his hometown, ready for a change of pace and a fresh start. However, nightmares haunt him like a plague, and the resurrection of long suppressed memories of his mother threaten to shatter everything he believes in. Different forces lingering in the shadows are both vying for allies, fighting with the same weapons for different goals. What happens when both sides will do anything necessary to enlist the aid of John Doe, whether he likes it or not? He sparks a revolution, and wages war against the Hierarchy. The game is afoot, and he intends to win. |Begins before the events of unOrdinary] Rated mature due to the violent nature of Unordinary and the potential triggering content. *Cover by u/sleepi_deann on reddit, they have a lot of really fabulous art, check em out! John has a cousin who also attends Wellston, and who has dethroned Arlo. He rules similarly to Rei, discouraging bullying and doing his best to break the distance between the tiers, but nothing seems to work. Then, he gets wind that his cousin has enrolled as a cripple, and has successfully befriended the second-most powerful student in the school: Seraphina. Urging John to reveal his power and help him break the distance, he does everything in his power to bring John, not into the hierarchy, but to accept himself and his past. But what happens when the jack, Arlo, overhears their discussion? Will John become the Joker? Or will he accept his power with the help of his cousin? That's for me to know, and you to find out. Note: Many of these characters belong to Uru-Chan. I am simply reimagining them in new circumstances.
