In Bungou Kindergarten for Stray Orphans, which also has an Orphanage at the side of the Kindergarten Building, 3 separated classes accompanied with 3 adults that serve as their respective teachers, fill the everyday Kindergarten. 3 said classes are childishly called, 'The Detective Rascals' with Fukuzawa Yukichi, 'The Mini Mafia' with Mori Ougai, and 'The Guild', or the most mature-ish ones with Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald. Weird and seems too 'adulty' for a bunch of 5-year olds.. Only during recess, lunch breaks, playtime, story time, and nap time, do these classes get together and see each other from different sections. And well.. Since they're all orphans of the same orphanage, after school. Chuuya is a close friend of Dazai, the only problem is that they're in different classes. 'Close friends' is one way that others can put it.. Why? Because during those times where all the classes are together, they are always seen together. And also because they bicker and start fights a lot with each other, ironically. One day, both Mori, Fukuzawa, and practically the rest of everyone there address this situation and try to separate them by doing all sorts of things. But it looks like how much they tried, the two will always find a way to get in each other's presence, without even trying as they are not aware of the countless times their teachers and friends tried butting in. (Basically, 5 times they all tried to separate Chuuya and Dazai, and 1 time they knew about what everyone was doing.)

As an act of respect for his former partner, dazai pulled back all forces from interfering with the armed detective agency's work, and in return the detective agency did not hinder the port mafia's work. It continued as such for another year, but of course, fate could never keep the two apart and the king and the queen will reunite once more, and cast their wrath upon all who stand in their way.
