I clicked my feet on my board and stood tall, hands on my hips looking up at him. He was staring at me. Blinking and taking a step closer, he placed a hand on my waist, shocking me. Even through the thickness of my jacket, I felt the pressure of his hand. Looking at me dead in the eyes he said, "You're hips are angled a little off," Shifting my body slightly, he looked down at my feet. "And you've got to bend a bit more when you take off." He tapped at my knee and made me crouch slightly. I was listening but only partially because my heart beat seemed to be louder than his voice. "Got it?" He said catching my eye. "Mhhmm," I mumbled, trying to breathe slowly. *************************************** A girl, her snowboarding dreams, a 3 year long crush on her snowboarding guy best friend, an encounter with a famous snowboarding legend with a secret, an adorable small child, two best friends who'd kill for her, and the competition she's waited for her whole life.
