Hooker boots, fishnet stockings, fried hair, and crayola makeup. Throw in sex and a high possibility of STD's and you've got the image of a whore. There's always that one story about the social outcast rumored to sleep around and fuck everyone in sight, when in reality she hasn't even had her first kiss yet. Adriana isn't that girl. She's seen and done things most are ashamed to admit to, she's met people most seventeen year old girls steer clear of, and she's trapped. She's been trapped in a vicious cycle of dirty old men, drugs, beatings, and alcohol since she'd stepped into it at the age of thirteen. Adriana Williams, the name of a rebellious, detached, scarred girl who lives her life without really living it. Doesn't sound like much of a nanny, does she? Well, don't judge a book by its cover.

Travel with Emily as she unlocks the secrets of her Celtic ancestors as she goes on a mystical journey to the inner house and beyond. Join the Journey . . . WHAT READERS ARE SAYING: "Natalie Wright has divined in Emily's House a simultaneous modern and ancient fairy tale of the greatest kind: sans parents, sans immediate consequence, sans cowardice. Bravery is said to be not the lack of fear, but action in the face of it. Like the best of Grimm, Perrault and Charles Schulz, Ms. Wright's kids find themselves amidst adventure, terror and turmoil, as well as ineffective and/or absent parental units. By their own bootstraps they must find help themselves to find their way home, to save not only each other, but perchance an entire civilization. "Adults drool, kids rule" is the motto for any well-written young adult or children's tale. Natalie's kids indeed rule. This one will last, alongside Grimm, Perrault and Schulz, in the coffers of timeless, fantasy literature. Plus, there's Hindergog and no one could not love Hindergog! Well done, Ms. Wright. Well done, indeed." - Jennifer S. Devore, author of "The Darlings of Orange County"

When Mia Byers, Cedarfield Heights' popular girl, starts Grade Eleven, she can't help but be judgemental and criticizing of all the guys in her grade. When her friends, Audrey Spring and Stella Odell accidentally stumble upon her critique of some of the boys in their grade, Mia comes up with a plan. Best friends in elementary, frenemies in middle school, and... aquaintances in high school. Just when she thought she had a chance to straighten things up with him, there was only one major obstacle standing in her way. The Gradebook.
