Louis's life was supposed to be perfect. He was engaged, happy, and recently scored his dream job as an art professor at a university. So then, why can't he stop thinking about the mysterious mute student in his class?

Harry's mom ran. She ran every single time her relationships failed. What else could she do? She could get over it. Harry wished she would. He hates having to pack up, leave friends (if he even had time to make any), and go to a new place. When Harry and his mother finally move into a new house and his mother gives him the "this could be the one" speech, yet again, Harry doesn't think it's even worth while to unpack. He just thinks it will be a matter of time before his mom wants to pack up and leave again. He decides to not make friends this time, to not care about anything this time, to just wait. Soon his mother will want to leave, so what's the point? Perhaps when Harry meets Louis, the twenty-six year old man that lives across the street and just so happens to be Harry's type; gay, he'll find a way to make his mom want to stay longer. He just doesn't know how...

Falling for his best friend was possibly the worst thing that could ever happen to Louis. Especially when they made a promise not to do so, but Louis couldn't seem to keep it from happening. Ending up with a broken heart when Harry suddenly turns up to be in a relationship overnight. - Or AU where Louis and Harry used to be more than friends, but everything had to change the day Harry introduces Louis to his new girlfriend.

Louis smokes a lot and is definitely not okay, Harry likes glitter and is definitely okay, Zayn thinks too much, Niall talks too much and Liam saves cats. Add all these together in a destined-to-fail theatre production, and you've got yourself the perfect ingredients for disaster. But maybe a beautiful one. At least, one with a whole goddamn lot of prancing, dancing, and romancing.

"Do you want a kiss?" Harry asks. Louis looks at him in clear disgust and annoyance. "Excuse me?" He inquires. Harry smiles and pulls out a bag of chocolate kisses. "They're your favourite aren't they?"
