It's been three years and Ikuto still hasn't returned from his journey looking for his father around the world and Amu realizes too late how she feels about Ikuto. However the, now, sixteen year old Amu has given up hope of Ikuto ever returning. But a small part of Amu is still wishing and hoping that Ikuto will return. One day she is out in the park alone thinking of Ikuto and right there out of the blue he shows up! Now that Ikuto's shown up Amu's life is about to get much more ... interesting Watch them as they go through high school together laughing, loving, procrastinating and of course living.

Ikuto met a girl by the seaside on one of his walks. He approached her, but was too late. She disappeared as soon as he was near her. He became crazy and searched for that girl. The only clue he has is the girl's hair and her beautiful yellow eyes. Her hair's pink and short. That is rare. Unless you dyed it. A year passed and Ikuto gave up on the search. One day, he stumbles upon a girl with pink hair and yellow eyes with the name Hinamori Amu. They became friends after getting to know each other more. But Ikuto had suspicions on that girl. It's like he met her before. He then suddenly remembers the girl from the seaside. Will that girl be the one Ikuto has been searching for? Or maybe just another girl that caught Ikuto's eye?

Amu Hinamori is growing up. Nothing much in her life has changed since elementary. She's in high school now, the Guardians are back together and she and Tadase are even on-and-off dating. Amu has everything she could want. But it feels like nothing. Something feels wrong, something is stopping her from feeling happy with her life. Every night she finds herself looking out at the stars at night and wondering what Ikuto is up to. She hasn't seen him in 3 years, so now he'll be 20 years old and an adult. She wonders if he'll come back, then slaps herself because he's in the past and it's obvious he can't remember the promise. But then what is with these halucinations of seeing him out of the corner of her eye? And the rumours about the attractive cat-eared boy? What will Amu do when she finds Ikuto asking her for help and pulling her back into the life she left behind in elementary school?
