Skylar Swan is Bella's Cousin, Her father (Charlie's brother) died when she was 15, she couldn't cope since then. she was always a daddy's girl. but she wasn't the only one, Skylar's mother, Jennifer Swan couldn't cope either, she turned to alcohol and didn't car for her daughter. Charlie has been asking Jennifer to see Skylar for years but the answer was always no, on Skylar's 17th birthday Jennifer shows up in forks and drops her off at Charlie's not wanting to have anything to do with her daughter anymore. Skylar starts her junior year after new years, missing most of the school year as Bella is half way through her senior year while her boyfriend Edward still haven't regained Charlie's trust after he left.
