Ink and PJ always had a rocky relationship: when PJ was little, Ink really dropped the ball as a parent, and now their bond is strained and fragile. If you love something, set it free. That's how the saying goes, and when PJ argues with Ink and tells him they wish he'd forget them, so that they wouldn't have to deal with him anymore, Ink decides he wants to honor his child's wish. Ink was always known for being happy and eager to meet new people, offering to be a friend to everyone he meets. But after meeting someone in particular, his entire attitude changes. He's become more reclusive and quiet, only talking to Dream about anything at all. He's pushing himself to do his work and won't accept help from anyone. He's pushing everyone away and no one can figure out why. But the others aren't so willing to comply with Ink's new behavior, with one of them forcing themselves into the situation to get to the bottom of it. That is, if it isn't already too late.
