Ad Astra Per Aspera is the sequel to The Soldier of Stars. ----------- Waking up disoriented and inside a hospital, that has the dingy army issued light bulbs, the rough cots and the smell of despair is not how Hazel thought her new year would start, especially with the pulsing wound that lies in her side. Hazel Parker, severely injured and mentally unstable, lies in wait at a field hospital, as Easy Company continues to battle the tortures of the war. Catherine McCown, Elizabeth Elliot and Easy Company, are struggling, especially after the major losses of Bill Guanere and Joe Toye or others like Donald Hoobler and especially Skip Muck and Alex Penkala and most importantly, the tiny sniper Hazel Parker. Each loss pushed Easy into a darker time, a darker reality that they would ultimately have to face if they were to make the attack on Foy. They know the war is coming to a close soon, it has to be, but with the current loses and the shine of hope that is slowly dwindling, Easy barely stays afloat as they manage to fend off the town of Foy and proceed to Alsace, France. The Soldier of Stars ~ Band of Brothers [1] A young woman who finds peace in the stars, and let's them guide her even through the darkness that might overcome her. __________ Hazel Parker of the WAC, Catherine McCown of SPARs and Elizabeth Elliot of the Cadet Nurses' Corps take part in Operation Virago which will send 250 women to the front lines to fight alongside men. The government, along with the War Department and direction from General Eisenhower decide this is a secret, covert operation that the public will be shielded from, to see how integrating women into war will work. Each of the 250 women come with their own ambitions of what they want from war and why they signed up in the first place to be apart of this program. They become split into each of the 5 branches with leverage from each of the branch commanders, and split into groups of 2, 3, or 4 women and are placed into their different respective branches. The enlisted men of each branch, well, they do not know exactly how to approach a woman who, at the moment, has more military training and experience by the time they get placed into their positions. Hazel Parker, Catherine McCown and Elizabeth Elliot are placed into the 101st Airborne, the first 3 women to be apart of the Airborne. A few other women head off to the 82nd. These 3 women become part of the 506th and are put under 2nd Battalion, in Easy Company. Reine Vernet, 17 year old, is a French girl. She decides to enlist as a paratrooper in the army after meeting one of them. Reine joins Easy Company, going through the hard training, making friends.. Reine will take part in a traumatic war, traumatic mentally and physically. Will she make it through the war?

Hey, while we're at it, why don't we bring women into the infantry!" the vice president exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air. The idea of parachute infantry did not sit well with him. "What a wonderful idea, Mr. Vice President. I know just the girl to ask!" Roosevelt laughed. Both of the ideas sat very well with him.

Alice's mother died when she was young: pneumonia. Her father and older brother raised her so she learned to fight back, grow tough skin and never let anyone get her down. She was 16 years old when her father sold the house and everything in it before moving back to the Fatherland of Nazi Germany in 1939. She was 17 when the plans for an arranged marriage for her began. Not only was Alice forced to leave her only friend and the place she called home for her entire life, but she was moving from a life of happiness to one of despair. A month before the Eve of her 18th birthday, Alice fled home with nothing but the clothes on her back and her old passport. From there, she practiced her skills on combat before going on to be a silent killer. Making her way through Germany and into France, specifically Normandy, before running into trouble. - This is my second story going off the show Band of Brothers. Different character all together and a new plot. I mean no disrespect to the real Band of Brothers, this is just for fun. Think of it as an Alternate Universe or Alternate Plot kind of thing. Any language translations are being done in google translate. I know it may be the least trustful site or translation tool, but if it makes anyone feel better, I write what I want into English, translate it to the different language before translating it back to double check. I'm also going to write this in third person POV because it's something I want to improve on.
