The Anders' family moves from Florida to Illinois after a series of distressing events that lead to the family's financial stress. In Illinois, James Anders is reunited with his long time best friend, attends a school at which he needs to hide who he truly is, and encounters the Bradford family- a family of seven attractive but dangerous boys.
