Seyifunmi Akpan is a young brilliant boy who lost his real parents at a tender age. He is subjected to both verbal and physical abuse from his stepfather and also tries to raise his stepbrother who he loves dearly. He seems to be at loss on whether to find his happiness or stay with his 'family'.
