It's Father's Day, and Amber is looking forward to spending the day with James and their father, Roland, until she learns that Sofia is going to join in the fun. To Amber's dismay, Sofia has even invited Prince Hugo and his family to join them. Amber is jealous of Sofia and wishes it could only be the three of them again. While the families are getting ready for a kayaking trip, Amber meets a young sorceress named Alana and asks her to cast a spell that'll separate her, James, and Roland from Sofia. Can Amber learn that sharing this day and her father with Sofia is important? Or will she take Dad for herself and James?

Sofia is happy to be reunited with her uncle, but Roland becomes jealous of his newly discovered brother-in-law's bond with Sofia. Normally, Amber loves anything to do with being a good ruler, but she's less than happy when she has to write a big essay the same week she wants to be with her friends from Royal Prep. In order to get it done and spend time with Hildegard and Clio, Amber uses a magic spell to copy words from a book and put them on paper. What's the worst that can happen?

There's a big Dads & Daughters/Moms & Sons field trip to the Enchanted Animal Park for all the royal schools. Sofia is really excited, but Roland and Amber sure aren't acting like it. They're spending too much time talking about their past field trips before Sofia came along, and it's making her feel left out and unwanted. She's so upset that she decides not to go on the trip at all. When Prince Hugo tells his family about this, they suggest King Garrick be Sofia's father for the trip. During the trip, Sofia is having fun, but soon Roland becomes jealous of Sofia's bond with Garrick.

Princess Hildegard loves when the teachers praise her for being a great student, but she doesn't like when another student does better. When Sofia shows Hildegard up at every subject, Hildegard becomes jealous and wants to take back what she believes is hers. But what happens when she tries to help another student just to outshine Sofia?

Sofia and her family are joining Prince Hugo and his family for their royal jubilee. Hugo's older brother, Axel, has reunited with Prince Roderick of Corona, an old friend from Royal Prep. Roderick is so fond of Hugo that he gives him a special dragonfly pin. But shortly afterwards, Hugo keeps getting a weird tummy ache that comes and goes. When Hugo is sent to bed, Sofia and Axel realize that the pin Roderick gave Hugo was making him sick. It turns out that it's the Pin of Achenheimer, a magically cursed pin that curses its bearer with intolerable pain in the stomach, and Roderick gave it to Hugo on purpose! Why would Roderick do such a thing?

James has some of his friends over for a sleep over on the same night Sofia and Amber are hosting their own slumber party. However, both parties accidentally get locked in the observatory and can't get out.

Sofia is excited because Royal Prep is going on a field trip to the Enchanted Animal Park with Prince Hugo's older brother Axel's school! Hugo looks forward to this field trip until Axel tells him bad news: the latter's ex-best friend Roderick has transferred to his school! Roderick is looking forward to seeing Hugo again, but why? Could Roderick be up to something again?
