Each step drags, my feet heavy against the ground, every footprint feeling like I'm leaving a piece of myself behind, like my soul is slipping away with each one. My senses dull, my energy drains, until all that's left is a hollow, aching emptiness. "Have anyone made you feel like this?" The tears I had been holding back finally spilled over, cascading freely down my face. I didn't bother wiping them away. There was no point anymore. I had spent too long trying to be strong, trying to convince myself that I could let him go, that I could bury everything I felt and walk away. "Do me Jungkook, p-please." But love is cruel like that. And I would leave with it, with all the love I still carried for him tucked quietly inside my heart. I would carry it for the rest of my life. "With all the pleasure, Daisy." The sun sinks lower, shadows stretching as night draws near. With a heavy heart, I force my feet forward, each step pulling me farther from the possibility of him-of us. Or maybe I had simply read everything wrong. Maybe Yoongi was wrong, and he wasn't here because he never felt the same way I did. Maybe I was foolish to think I could be the exception. I should have known better. I should never have let myself fall for someone like Jungkook, someone who had always made it clear that he didn't believe in love.
