The third part to The Cripple and The Shieldmaiden After all the violence, the loss Torhild leaves Kattegat for a journey with her son, Ivar and Floki to Iceland. Pregnant and in need of rest they find themselves in a little kingdom. But Ivar becomes restless in the quiet piece, he wants to get back to England, he wants to fight again. That all change when Torhild gives birth and an unexpected visitor asked for their help.

The Sequel to The Cripple and The Shielmaiden. After years Torhild learns to love again. But the stains of her broken heart are still there and the memory doesn't dissapear, especially because of her son, who has the same coldstone blue eyes from his father. When Hvitserk comes back from his raid her mother gets news from English soil involving a legacy from king Ecbert. And it is Torhild her task to rise to the throne and bring the saxons and vikings together. But is she ready to face Ivar again and tell him he has a son?

When Torhild returns home after a two year long training as shieldmaiden she finds out that everything is changed. Not only is her mother queen of Kattegat, also the whole village growed. Some friends are dead, others not around. But their are always Ragnarsons and especially Ivar needs some extra attention, what only brings them both more together.
