"Happy third anniversary to us, Jaan."
Navya's heart stopped.
Slowly, as if dragged by some invisible force, she turned.
And there HE was.
Her past. Her ruin. The man she had walked away from, believing-foolishly-that she could leave him behind.
She should have known. One never escapes 'HIM'. One never can.
"Tell me, Mrs. Rajvansh," he murmured, his voice dangerously soft, "did you really think you could hide from me forever?"
"You... What do you want?" she whispered, hating how her voice shook, how her lungs betrayed her.
He tilted his head, watching her like a predator indulging his prey's futile resistance.
"Everything, Navya." His voice was a slow caress, laced with an unspoken warning. "Everything you once gave me... and everything you never did."
His words weren't a request. They were a verdict. A claim. A possession.
Because Navya wasn't just someone he had loved. She was his possession, devotion, and destruction, all bound in a single name.
