It is set in an alternate universe where the characters attend a magical academy, offering unique twists on familiar events from the books. Reading the original work is recommended but not necessary. Atsuomi provided Ayanokouji with a year on ANHS. So during Y1V7, he contracted Ayanokouji that he'll not interfere with Ayanokouji staying outside the White Room in exchange of him transferring to Hyakkaou Private Academy at the start of his second year, in order for him to raise his influence and gather more funds for the White Room. So, Ayanokouji has peaceful Winter vacation though not completely with Ryueen, but yeah, he spend more days with Ayanokouji Group, Sakayanagi, Karuizawa, Shiina, Ichinose, etc. Then he met Jabami Yumeko credits to the respective authors of COTE and Kakegurui

"Kiyotaka, having enjoyed his 3 years in ANHS, decides to put an end to his freedom, but he didn't know that his decisions would have consequences bigger than his small self. It follows the journey of Lucifer Vritra to become stronger in anticipation of the future and also to discover the mysteries behind this new world full of deities."
