Hey, I'm Malory Floyd, but you can call me Mal. I'm a magician. I have lived on Earth my entire life, and to everyone here (besides my amazing monster-hunter mother) I am 100% ordinary. It's not easy hiding such a massive part of yourself. For years I have felt so alone, so when I finally turned seventeen and could join Mage Academy, Earth-based magical summer camp, I knew everything was going to change. It's not going to be easy. I feel like there is always something in my way. People are always telling me I have a destiny to fulfil, and honestly, I don't know which destiny is the real one. I think I have to make my own. The line between good and evil is so hard to read, especially in the magical world. I know I'm not evil. But somehow evil has woven its way into my life, into my destiny, and I have no idea why. But I'm going to find out.
