Damian and Mar'i are married , even though Damian is not happy at first , but eventually he starts to like Mar'i . Everything is going great until one day , everything changes .... My take on the (in)famous coffeeshop AU. Mary Grayson is your average girl, an uninteresting barista at a small coffeeshop in the heart of downtown Gotham. After Robin falls injured outside her shop door, she becomes more and more fixated on the secrets of Gotham's protectors. There's no reason for Damian to be interested in her, but for some reason he finds himself coming back to the shop where she works. This story began as some unconnected drabbles on tumblr but I'm really attached to the universe so I've compiled and tweaked some of it to create an actual story with a plot.

Mar'i Grayson had a plan. Get her associate's degree from Atlantic-Cape Community College, graduate debt-free, transfer to Gotham University for her bachelor's, live with her grandfather to save on room and board. Maybe get to know him a little better, since he and her father were kind of estranged from each other. Behave herself to keep her father happy while she was away from home. Not much was supposed to change. She never expected to discover the secret her grandfather was keeping from her since before she was born, find out that his juvy-rescue assistant was helping him keep it, and get thrown into the fray herself. Besides, it wasn't exactly like she was a stranger to secrets, herself.
