Nico di Angelo feels like he's trapped at camp so he shadow travels away for a few days. He ends up at Hades Palace and Hades has a special request for him. Nico di Angelo gets adopted by Bruce Wayne after Batman witnesses him stalking around a cemetery in Gotham in the middle of the night. He doesn't want to move in with Bruce, but seeing as he can't supply any proof of his parents or even his own birth records, he doesn't have a good reason to say no. It's Bruce Wayne or the foster system so Nico decides to take his chances with the billionaire. What he didn't anticipate is that he isn't Bruce's only child, or that the man is more than meets the eye. Nico gets dragged into the Batfam and has to learn their secret while trying to hide the mythological world from the greatest family of detectives in the world. No Nico ships. It would get in the way of the plot. I will try to keep at least somewhat accurate with the rest of the books. Everything belongs to Rick Riordan or DCU. However, he refuses to admit that his newly adopted son has, or had, any powers. On a search to find his son, he'll soon find the truth along with Nico. Nico's life has turned upside down. Bianca left him for her friends, leaving Nico to run away heartbroken. He is found by none other than the villain, Harley Quinn, who takes him back to Joker. They adopt him, and he lived happily with his twisted family for five years. But when his past comes crawling back to haunt him, he goes on a roller coaster ride as he faces new challenges, meets new people, and makes new enemies.

The Second Giant War was gruesome. With only 3 of the 7 left alive, they demigods of prophecy left the camps. They were unable, or maybe just unwilling, to be in the places where their friends once walked. They chose to escape the world of demigods while they still could. They wanted to try for normal so that maybe, one day, they could forget any of it ever happened. They wanted peace and safety. Nico... well, Nico had other ways of coping. ------------- Nico had had a long life. 16 years old, plus however many had passed in that cured casino had left little joy in his life. He had lost his grandparents, his mother, Bianca, his friends, and then Hazel... he missed her more than he could bare. He only knew his sister for around a year before he had lost her, and not a single day had passed in the last two years that he hadn't thought of her. He couldn't go to either camp or the underworld without feeling like his chest would explode from the pain. He knew she was in a better place. Her and Frank were in Elysium with Jason, Piper, and the rest of the heroes that died in the wars. She was at peace. Maybe she had even managed meet his mother and they were watching him now... though he honestly hoped they weren't. SPOILERS FOR THE SUN AND THE STAR!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! Nico finds himself in Gotham after a group of monsters had cornered him, and he had to shadow jump away. Somehow, he finds himself being fostered by Bruce Wayne. It's only temporary and Nico intends to keep it that way. The only problem is that there are many things Nico can't explain, like his past, how he learned how to fight, why he needs to know how to fight, and why strange things keep happening around him. How can Nico keep his stay at the manor temporary if things keep happening that just ensures Bruce Wayne will want to keep an eye on him?
