School sucks for seventeen year old Sofia Esperanza. Granted, she’s only been there a day, so things can only get better… right? Wrong, totally and completely wrong. Between bullies, a car accident and some really freaky stuff, Sofie’s almost ready to turn her back on the whole institution. The only thing keeping her sane is her determination to find answers. Sofie knows that Josh saved her life in that car accident and he’s going to admit it, whether he wants to or not. Some crazy tale about The Horsemen of the Apocalypse is not going to cut it. But after a series of weird and freaky events, she doesn’t have much of a choice in the matter. Just what are the Horsemen of the Apocalypse? And more importantly what do they have to do with her? To find out, Sofie is going to have to do more than just get the answers: she’s going to have learn the truth about herself and her family; control the growing power inside of her; and stand up to the Horsemen’s greatest enemy, who knows everything about them and knows just where to strike… because he used to be one of them.
