La Fraile is a prominent town which expands its success across generations for being ruled by the powerful, noble-born Serdoncillo clan. "Veiled Madonna" painting, a masterpiece made by an unknown artist in 1706 and it was owned by the lauded city mayor, Ephraim Serdoncillo. Their family is always surrounded by controversies and rumors, yet it was all easily swept under the rug much to the townspeople's admiration. However, their name was caught in an inescapable bad light when he met his untimely demise and the blame was placed on the old-century artwork. In an odd manner, the girlfriend of Ephraim's nephew, Miriam del Vasquez, is strangely troubled by nightmares of a woman wearing black medieval gown and veil, resembling the portrait. Discovering the tale of the mayor's death and the art, she is soon eager to unravel the string of mystery tying her terror dreams and the ghastly murder to the painting. The book was then unfolded to his family, where every one of them showed curiosity and interest. Doomed by the disclosure, the "Pulang Libro" was stolen from his grave. Eventually, an uncanny incident happens to Athena, the writer's grandchild, that will press her to unravel the mystery behind the book's disappearance. And lo, a mysterious figure attired in a black medieval dress, hiding behind a skull mask and riding a kalesa, terrifyingly shows at the wedding. This figure earns the name "Kutsero de Kamatayan," where dwellers claim that it was Stella's ghost, kickstarting her curse. The query began to enwrap the people.
