Tanjirou was on his way back to his house when he smelled a metallic scent in the distance. He rushed back to his house not even minding the cold weather but it was too late, when he arrived at his house all he sees is his family being eaten by a creature ( not muzan ) he grabbed his axe then hit the creature with it, it did cut off the demons head but it just regenerated. While the demon was regenerating tanjirou took this chance to run up to his family who is turned to pieces by the demon, tanjirou couldn't move anymore but the demon can, when the demon was just about to hit tanjirou, his head and body blew up because of the man behind them, tanjirou looked back and saw a man with a fedora hat and is in a suit.
