If there was regret, if there was fear, and if there was pain, he would have seen that after four hundred years, he had borne them in constancy; both in life and death. So why now? Sasuke Uchiha wouldn't have minded crucifying himself as a martyr, believing himself to be deservant of such providence, and therefore leaving the dreams of his friend to be accomplished in full. It was then he discovered why the Rinnegan was termed the "Saṃsāra Eye," being sent to "Kazdel" during the epoch of a war with a coalition against them. Even in another world, the cycle of hatred persists.

The stone-cold effigy of the 'strongest' was an idea that stripped those of all their humanities and spirit. It too was what robbed Gojo Satoru of everything he was and wasn't.

Sometimes, it's the little things in life that makes the experience worth the thrill. Sure, travelling across the infinite worlds, slaying gods and saving worlds for a living never gets old, but sometimes, a certain bloodthirsty lunatic takes the time to slow down and try new things. Not necessarily challenging things, but mostly fun things. In-between jobs, our resident god killer catches news of a certain program in Japan, involving... playing soccer. Was signing up to play soccer as a superpowered, almighty force of nature completely unfair against everyone else? Obviously. Was it fun? Surprisingly so. Kids these days were crazy about "devouring", "chemical reactions", and "monsters" and whatnot. All in all, it was time to take a little break and style on some kids, purely for the fun of it all.

You might be wondering how was it that a certain crack-addled, bloodthirsty, eldritch, smiling lunatic established himself as a household name in the god-slaying business. Like all household names, you have to build your street cred from the bottom up. Sure, he was already widely feared, but nobody was aware of the new kind of deicidal service he provided. So, like any budding business, (Y/N) (L/N) set out into the cosmos to make himself known as a contract god killer, and maybe have a nice, fun adventure along the way. The place they called "Teyvat" had a lot of gods running about. Perfect hunting grounds to start his business. Now, if only he could convince the locals to hire him to kill their gods and not come out of it as Public Enemy #1. Oh, well. Not like said gods were anything special anyway. He'd figure something out.

In the distant future of 20XX, a specialized headgear called the "Nerve Gear" is released to the public, designed to immerse the user in hundreds of Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (VRMMORPG) using their five senses. One in particular stood out from its peers, an upcoming game called "Sword Art Online" that attracted the attention of millions; yet, only 10,000 copies have been sold. What looks to be a wonderful world spawned from the genius mind of Kayaba Akihiko, the creator of the Nerve Gear, however soon turns out to be an elaborate ruse since on the first day of public access, players discover they cannot log out, as the game creator is holding them captive unless they reach the 100th floor of the game's tower and defeat the final boss. However, if they die in the game, they die in real life. Their struggle for survival starts now. (SAO x Male Reader) (Published August 9, 2024)
