After Elise's twin sister Storm got caught up in a fight Elise hasn't been the same. Not long after her younger sister and brother, Sandy & Ethan, disappeared. Their bodies were later found at the edge of the house, mauled and bloody. Her birthday is a week away. Elise is a Familiar, so is the rest of her family. Familiars are supernatural beings that can shift into an animal. At the age of sixteen a Familiar receives a tattoo-like mark of the animal they have the spirit of and capability to turn into. However Elise isn't like the other Familiars. She can shift into any animal she wants. Her twin is the same. When the other members of her small pack-like group find out, havoc rises and Storm and Elise are forced to run away from everything they knew.
