Edric makes a bet with his sister to get a date to the yearly Boiling Isles Carnival before it ends. After the bet is bound by magic, Edric starts to search for the perfect date at his favorite place, the library. There he meets the man of his dreams. It's also my first time writing a fanfiction, so prepare for a somewhat confusing plot line, and me forgetting things that happened in previous chapters. Stumbling upon The Golden Guard hadn't exactly been on Edric's list of top ten things likely to happen while taking a walk in the woods. It certainly wasn't a bad thing though. After getting stood up, Edric was at an all time low with his romantic endeavors.
