There was a before the Calamity, the little things that were seen, felt, and said that Legends don't tell. There was a during the Calamity, where truths are told as death wishes and secrets are taken to the grave. There is an after the Calamity, where wrongs are righted and a fresh start is made. But tragedy seems to follow the Princess and the Hero where they go throughout the ages, and this age is no exception. ⚔ The first installment of the Between Them series. In which Link and Zelda meet, and try to get through the Great Calamity together.

Left an orphan at a young age, Zelda lives in a beautiful chateau with her cruel stepmother and two stepsisters. Yet, despite being surrounded by wealth, she works as a servant in her own home. Being closed off from the world, Zelda is an avid dreamer, and escapes into her thoughts whenever she can, projecting those ambitions onto the beautiful dresses and gowns she makes. One day, a letter from the palace arrives, telling of a ball that is to take place at the royal palace in celebration of Prince Link's birthday. Little does the young girl know how with this, her life will be changed forever. This is a Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild rendition of the Cinderella fairytale. This story takes place 10 years after the end of Breath of the Wild, and is in no way official to the breath of the wild canon timeline. More of a what if style story but still taking place in the Breath of the wild universe. -Alex

Prince Link fears he can never live up to his mother's expectations. Zelda has just been knighted into the Royal Guard. When Link unwittingly unleashes a horror upon Hyrule, Zelda must protect this foolish prince and help him defeat the impending evil that is lurking in Hyrule.
