Kara's a lost soul. She often gets bullied by the kids at school, beaten by her uncle, and tortured by her thoughts. Her parents died in a car accident when she was 6 so he took her in. The only one who truly cares about her is her best friend, Tyler. Although he cares, she still pushes him away. The story follows the main character Elizabeth Bennet as she deals with issues of manners, upbringing, morality, education, and marriage in the society of the landed gentry of early 19th-century England.
