Well-known as an indifferent and cold man, nobody dares approach him for small talks, let alone asking to be his teacher. He would really like to be one but no one was brave enough to ask him. Until one day, a violinist who is only a year younger than him aspires to be a soloist. Edward Chen asks for him to be his teacher. He was the only one brave enough to ask, so Brett does not hesitate. Both slowly fall for each other. They know that they cannot be together because they're both men and that was illegal in their time. What would they do? Do they continue their love and risk their lives or do they risk their love and continue living peacefully?
