He has suicidal thoughts and uses unhealthy coping mechanisms to help with the pain and suffering. Through out the story, we learn more about Giyuu's past and why he is how he is in the present and we will also see how Giyuu overcomes his negative and suicidal thoughts and becomes happy once again.
