Of you are unlucky enough to obtain the disease, flowers will start to grow in your nasal passages and lungs, making it nearly impossible to breath. If the person doesn't find love with the person they desire, they will eventually suffocate to death. Draco Malfoy, never having the best of luck, obtained Hanahaki during the middle of his seventh year. He was able to hide it up until he decides to go back to Hogwarts for an extended year, at which point it becomes more than noticable.
