Derek tells Meredith about him kissing Renee and she has to decide whether to take him back. After all of this time, he had broken his promise. "I stop talking and sit beside her. My arm reaches out to rub her back but I hesitate. How, in good conscience can I hold her? After everything I've done, I deserve to watch her cry." (smut warning)

Derek main focus was his work. Surgery was his life. That was until a young women moved next door to him and so desperately needed his help to get through this next journey in her life. Her natural spark intrigued him from the start and their friendship blossomed. That was until Derek realised he was falling in love with her. However, does she feel the same way? Only time will tell.
