For 60 years, Tauriel was presumed dead by Legolas, who searched YEARS for her. After TBOFA (The Battle of the Five Armies), she left to find a new home, leaving Legolas thinking she died during an orc attack. Now, 60 years later, Legolas's father, King Thranduil sends him to Rivendell to represent Mirkwood for Lord Elrond's secret council, he doesn't expect who will end up there: Tauriel, the tenth member of the Fellowship of the Ring. She was an accident. That's what she really was. Born a royal. Raised a commoner. An insignificant girl, born to have children and make her future husband happy. Never would she imagine that her father was a cast out king and her mother the daughter of a lord. Never would she imagine that she could be raised to be so much more; a warrior, a princess, or whatever she wanted to be. Never had she been told this as a child because she had been just that, a child. She would never have a perfect childhood and never would she be able to have that special bond with her parents. And all because she was a mistake. All because she was the product of a forsaken romance. All because she was forbidden.

Despite the breaking of the Fellowship, Lessien's story continues on with her remaining companions. When the group encounters Gandalf again, it appears that her role in the oncoming war is much more important than she ever imagined. As she figures out who she is to be to the good forces of Men, Lessien and the rest of her group travel to Edoras where they aid King Theoden against the threats that Rohan faces. But as more and more is revealed of what Lessien is to do to save Middle Earth, she finally sees all that she has to lose. The cost of being a hero is high. The question rises, what is she willing to let go in order to win this war?

After the Battle of the Ring unfolded, Aragorn went on to carry out a long, peaceful reign with his wife by his side as they rebuilt the kingdom of Gondor's resources and spirits. Lessien and Legolas's love grow as Lessien adjusts to the royal life. Many years have gone by, Eldarion is grown, Arwen has served many years as a faithful queen, Lessien goes by a different name altogether, and King Aragorn is growing old. His time is coming to a close, which means the time to announce his successor is approaching. Aragorn's marriage has reaped two children, Lessien and Eldarion. Two choices. Two leaders. Two paths that the great kingdom of Gondor could continue down and, perhaps, two paths that could lead to the realm's success or to its doom. (An AU of what could happen if Lessien had not died in the Battle of the Ring.)

Mordor's power is growing. Sauron grows stronger in Lessien. The Battle of the Ring is far from over. Many things lay unresolved for Lessien and the war that looms before her isn't like any that she has faced before. As Gandalf's knowledge is enhanced, he and Lessien come to find that she may be a huge advantage against the power of Mordor. Can she keep her loved ones safe without wounding relationships without repair? Or will she fail in keeping her distance and bring upon their doom?

The Fellowship is now broken as Bella, Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas search for Merry and Pippin while Frodo and Sam continue to Mordor alone. Bella's heart is also torn between the heir of Gondor and the one she is already betrothed to.

Bilbo Baggins didn't expect to have to raise another child other than Frodo, but one night Gandalf came carrying an elf baby and begging Bilbo to help him. Bella is an elf among hobbits and on Bilbo's 111th birthday, she starts to learn the truth of who she really is. The daughter of Lord Elrond. (This story is still new and I am trying to follow the book events since it will be a little different from the movies.)
